Sorry everyone. Finally got my classes settled and now I'm back in full force. This one is for all the future generations out there and is the reason why I'm going into nutrition and food.

LADIES, YOU EAT FOR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN. Ok. When a woman is pregnant, her nutritional status is so incredibly important to the fetus for many reasons. If you are not planning to become pregnant you should still be eating like you are because it is incredibly hard to treat deficiencies in enough time to prevent things like neural tube defects and other birth defects. Your nutritional status during pregnancy has been shown to greatly dictate how healthy that baby will be throughout their entire lives. Your nutritional status essentially paves the road for gene expression. This is called epigenetics. But wait...A female is born with a set amount of eggs in her ovaries. Which means your female child's future babies are developing inside of you while she is still developing. Let that sink in....#epigenetics #nuritionalgenomics
